On the Watertown Seal is a picture of an English Colonist and an Indian exchanging, as peace tokens,  bread for fish.  Captain Roger Clap landed at Nantasket Point in 1630 and rode up Charles River to Gerry's Landing with the first party of Watertown Colonists.

Come discuss the future of Arsenal Park, we want to hear what you think. Arsenal Park Design – 2017 What: Arsenal Park Design Community Meeting One Where: Watertown Library – Watertown Savings Bank Room When: Tuesday, August 15 –6:30-8:30 PM The Watertown Department of Community Development and Planning is holding a community meeting to discuss Arsenal Park and the potential for design/redesign of some areas within the park. Anyone interested in learning more about Arsenal Park and in sharing ideas about how the park should be designed and used is encouraged to come to the first meeting to kick-off the process. Of particular interest is the design of the eastern section of the park which includes the existing courts and open space adjacent to the Arsenal Yards and connectivity into and through the park.
